Diet Ordering and Reporting

Functions

This solution aims to:

  • Provide a clinical diet ordering system that can be accessed by dieticians, speech therapists and the kitchen for all wards / departments across the health care facility or campus

  • Provide the ability to select, main diet, modification, mid meals, food allergies and comments

  • Provide a clinical diet ordering system which can be viewed and updated as clinicians select patient acuity indicators

  • Enable each patient’s dietary needs to be ongoing, changed and/or updated for all future shifts

  • Provide a process to override an ongoing diet for one or more shifts e.g. nil by mouth

  • Provide selection banks for patient diets, modifications, mid meals, food allergies and additional dietary comments so that diet ordering and adjustments to diet orders can be fast, accurate and customised to health care facility requirements

  • Provide a ward diet order form that will assist menu selection, diet and meal tray preparation and dietician reviews

  • Produce an alert if diet ordering is set as mandatory and a diet is not ordered.

Reports generated

A ward diet order form can be generated within the ward or in the kitchen. This form identifies the diets ordered for patients and boarders in a ward area.

Interfaces

TrendCare interfaces to a wide range of menu systems e.g. Chefmax, CBORD, Delegate, etc

All TrendCare reports and graphs can be saved as PDF, CSV or text format, for example, for transfer into a spreadsheet.
